What You Need to Know

Before you hit the court, here’s everything families need to know about joining Elementary Hoops.

Season & Games

Games begin in early March and end in late May. Games are played on Wednesdays & Fridays in Encinitas at Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest San Diego’s Sarver Gymnasium (1221 Encinitas Blvd).

Team Structure

Each school will form one boys team and one girls team. Teams are not co-ed, and players must attend the school they represent. All athletes must participate in tryouts and be registered prior.

Convenient After-School Practices

Practices are held after school at the student’s elementary school. The practice day depends on volunteer coach’s availability.

Plan Your Transportation

Families are responsible for transportation to and from practices and games.

Program Fee

The cost to participate is $265, which includes a team jersey and officials. Financial aid is available.

Playing Time is Not Guaranteed

This is a competitive league. Playing time is earned through attitude, effort, and sportsmanship. We value commitment, teamwork, and respect.

Online Registration is Required

All athletes must register online before tryouts or practices. Athletes will not be allowed to participate if they are not registered.
