As the summer draws to a close, we look back on an incredible season filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable memories at our Summer Adventure Camps. Our diverse programs and exciting field trips made this summer one for the books. This summer was packed with adventure, learning, and plenty of splashes, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Day Camps: Our day camps were a hub of excitement and energy. Campers participated in a wide range of activities, from arts and crafts to team-building games. Each day brought new experiences, fostering friendships and personal growth.

Specialty Camps: We offered a variety of specialty camps that allowed campers to delve deeper into their interests and hone their skills.

  • BIG 8 Sports Camps: Campers enhanced their athletic abilities and enjoyed healthy competition in our sports camps. Activities included soccer, basketball, relay races, and obstacle courses, emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship.
  • CHL Cooking Camps: Future chefs thrived in our cooking camps, where they learned to prepare delicious meals and tasty treats. They explored different cuisines, mastered essential cooking techniques, and showcased their culinary creations in a friendly cook- off.
  • YAA Music Camps: Our music camps were a melodic success, with campers learning new instruments, improving their musical skills, and experiencing the joy of performing. The end-of-camp concert highlighted their hard work and talent.
  • Art Camps: Creativity blossomed in our art camps, where young artists explored various mediums such as painting, drawing, and sculpting. Their impressive artwork was displayed in an end-of-camp art show, sharing their creativity with family and friends.
  • Science Camps: Our science camps ignited curiosity and innovation. Campers conducted exciting experiments, built engineering projects, and engaged in problem-solving activities, fostering a love for STEM.
  • YAA Theater Camps: Our theater camps brought stories to life on stage. Campers practiced acting, learned stagecraft, and participated in rehearsals, culminating in a final performance that showcased their talents and hard work.
  • Harry Potter Camp: Magic was in the air at our Harry Potter Camp, where young wizards and witches experienced the wonder of the Wizarding World. From potion-making and spell-casting to Quidditch matches and house competitions, campers immersed themselves in all things Harry Potter.

Camp & Swim: Our camp & swim program was a highlight of the summer, providing campers with the opportunity to improve their swimming skills and have fun in the water and participate in Day Camps.

  • Swim Lessons: Experienced instructors guided campers through swim lessons tailored to different skill levels. From beginners learning the basics to advanced swimmers refining their techniques, everyone made great progress.
  • Recreational Swim: Campers enjoyed plenty of free swim time, where they could splash around, play games, and cool off on hot summer days. The pool became a favorite spot for relaxation and fun.

Leaders In Training & Teen Service & Leadership Camp: Our Leaders In Training (LIT) Program & Teen Service & Leadership Camp was a standout this summer, providing teenagers with valuable leadership skills and hands-on experience.

  • Leadership Workshops: Teens participated in workshops that focused on communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, preparing them for leadership roles in camp and beyond.
  • Mentorship: LITs & Teen Service & Leadership Campers had the opportunity to mentor younger campers, assist with camp activities, and gain practical experience in a supportive environment.
  • Community Service: Our Service & Leadership Campers also engaged in community service projects, giving back to the community and learning the importance of civic responsibility.

Field Trips: Our summer was made even more memorable with exciting field trips that offered new experiences and adventures.

  • Science Museum: Campers marveled at the interactive exhibits and engaging displays at the science museum, sparking curiosity and inspiring a deeper interest in science.
  • Bowling: A day at the bowling alley provided friendly competition and lots of laughter. Campers enjoyed striking down pins and cheering on their friends.
  • Movies: The movie theater trip was a hit, offering a relaxing and entertaining break from the usual camp activities. Campers enjoyed the latest family-friendly films and shared their favorite moments.
  • Padres Game: A trip to see the Padres play was a thrilling experience. Campers cheered for the home team, enjoyed the stadium atmosphere, and made lasting memories of an exciting day at the ballpark.

This summer was truly incredible, thanks to our dedicated staff, enthusiastic campers, and supportive parents. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year for another season of fun, learning, and adventure in both our camp and swim programs!
